Consumers may get unsolicited faxes from various companies who offer what appears to be either Health Insurance or Health Discount Plans. Whether it's insurance or a discount plan, these companies must be licensed to do business in Utah. While there are many legitimate companies offering these services, we caution you that there are many fraudulent companies as well. You can check the licensing status of a company online under "Search Company/Agent" link or by calling the insurance department during business hours. Remember. if it's too good to be true, then perhaps it is.
